Hi,

I bought a product online 2 weeks ago, when the order was allegedly sent to the shipping agent the status "Logistics order has been created" was applied to my order. Since then; the status of the package has not changed and at present it has been 8 days in transit with no updates or news regarding whats going on. The sender asserts that they sent the product, and currently I am not sure how to proceed, could you please suggest what I should do from here?

your seller applied this parcel number LO796500438CN on Feb 9 but never gave the parcel to china post.
You should push seller to ship the goods immediately. Tell him if you can not track real shipment data in next 3 days, you will open dispute to aliexpress/amazon/ebay/paypal against fraud.

Hi,

and thank you for getting back to me, the seller is asserting that he posted the package to the shipping agent last week and that apparently it was scheduled to fly last week, however due to the Corona Virus outbreak the flight was cancelled and that it is scheduled to fly again this week, he included an image of the package box with the relevant address written on it and has used this to claim a shipped status with our payment provider. How would you suggest I proceed, is this this situation possible? or am I being mislead?

The normal procedure should be :
1)Seller apply a tracking number with software from china post
2)print the tracking number shipping label on the parcel and send it to China Post.
3)China Post sent the parcel to airline.

Your seller did 1), but never did 2), so his talking about 3) makes no sense. He is a cheater.
