Post ( HELP!) China Post - Can’t ship to Australia, USA, and Canada?

Hi guys,

I ordered a package from AliExpress and my seller has informed that China Post is not accepting any parcel going into USA, Australia, and Canada and it went into effect as of April 1, 2020. I’ve ordered my products on March 31. It has been sent back to the seller because most of the flights has been suspended until further notice. Is this even true though? Because I have other sellers from AliExpress that has sent out my orders but there are no issues. But even DHL, TNT, and FedEx has stopped their services... as I was informed by my seller.

I live in Australia and would love to know any updates to receive my parcel any sooner. Because I have 10 days to dispute my products, but I don’t want to either. So I just need to know if it’s an appropriate action for me to do so as I really don’t want to cancel my order.

Thank you in advance. Hope to have a quick response soon!

China Post has serious shortage of airline space because government has cancelled 99% of international passenger flights . Right now, many parcel shipped in early February are still lying China Post warehouse without moving. So delay is very serious.

China Post headquarter had a meeting on mar 27 and decided to rent some cargo flight to send parcel to USA, Japan and Europe(by train).

Our stat report shows some lucky parcel shipped in early march just arrived USA. But most of them are still waiting in China. I believe your parcel has little chance to reach Australia in next 10 days. The best option for you is to cancel the order for refund.

That partially answers my questions, thank you for confirming with me too as soon as you can.

But my situation is that my seller has got the package with him now as China Post has returned it to the seller due to such circumstances. But as of now, I’m willing to wait as long as I know, that my products will get to me.

My parcel has not been scanned into China Post’s system yet. This is my tracking number: LH718608056CN

My main concern is: *In the next 10 days, is it still possible that my parcel will at least be scanned into the system and be on the way?*

What about DHL, TNT, EMS, and FedEx? Are their services still available so my seller is able to send it to me through one of these mentioned services?

Thank you!

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows LH718608056CN has no shipping record in China post. This means your seller has not even given this parcel to China Post, let along return from China Post.

I believe your seller did not tell you the full truth.

Actually he knows that the shipping to Australia has very big problem. Based on current situation, shipping time might take 60 or even 90 days to reach your country and Aliexpress buyer protection will expire by that time. Thus, if you open dispute , he will lose his product , money and gets bad review in aliexpress. It is not a good deal for him.

So your seller only applied a tracking number from china post but did not actually give the parcel to China Post(aliexpress require seller make shipment action within 48 hours). He wants you to cancel the order so that Aliexpress will not downgrade his shop ranking for not fulfilling the order contract.

Cancel the order is a win-win game for you and your seller. You will save you time and he no need take the high risk of goods-not-arrival dispute compensation and penalty..
