Hello. Stuck around month at step "Waiting for Customs Scan". it's normal?

I'm ask seller about this situation. They sad : "Dear customer, don't worry, we sent your parcel out via the direct flight from China to Russia. The info will only get updated while it arrives at your county.
Now it's safely on the way to u." Can I trust them? if they could re-send the parcel with this track number if it is not pass security check?
