Post Parcel arrived in Melbourne but not moved

Hi - my China Small parcel arrived in Melbourne on 26/1

Final destination is Sydney but there have been no updates to the Aus Post system since 29/1

They suggested contacting you to see if you may have other scans to indicate where the package

UT975346169CN

Any information would be appreciated
Thanks

UT975346169CN left China Post system for Melbourne ,Australia on Jan 26.

this kind of parcel starting with U is china post ordinary parcel. China Post will not scan and update its status after it left China. so you can not see new status and know where it is now.

This is a slow and cheap service for low value item. Both China and destination country give very low priority to sort and deliver this kind of parcel. china post ordinary parcel might take 4 to 12 weeks to reach your country.

If your buyer protection is expiring, you should open dispute to paypal/aliexpress for lost parcel refund. Otherwise keep waiting.

Yes

Understand the UT and the lack of tracking

However -- there was an update on tracking when it arrived in Melbourne on Jan 26th
AND
Australia Post have 1 more update on 29th January that it cleared customs

Aus Post have suggested contacting China post to see if there are any further scans on your system as it has still not been delivered in Sydney

So I am hoping that even tho there are usually no scans, the fact that there have been some scans may help in getting you to check the tracking number just in case ?

Thanks

so called "Arrival of Melbourne" actually means airline confirmed that the parcel is on the flight heading to Melbourne. It is not from Australia Post scan and Australia Post will not scan such U parcel.

I don't think you can see any update in Australia Post website for such U parcel. You must have got some misleading result from other websites which pretend to be Australia Post. You should avoid reading information from them.

No I can't see anything in Australia Pist at all - you are correct

When I called Aus Post last week they said they had a 29th Jan entry of clearing customs but I cannot see it

Are you able to see a Jan 29 entry regarding customs?

I'm just trying to get an idea of what is happening with this parcel if at all possible

Thanks

I'm just very stuck knowing what to do as I no longer live at the postal address - I thought I had paid for courier postage at the time

Is there an indication when it reaches its destination/is delivered ?

If you paid for courier postage, then you are scammed. Your seller used the cheapest and slowest shipping method to send the goods to you.

Australia Post gives such U parcel very very low sorting and processing priority. You can not know when it will arrive your home. Possible time might be 7 to 30 days.

If your buyer protection is expiring, you need open dispute to claim compensation because seller did not honour his shipping promise.
