I received tracking information from China seller on March 22, 2019 and as of today the shipping update shows

TRACKING Number:
EA405459973CN

Pre-Shipment
Origin Post is Preparing Your Shipment

It has been almost two weeks with no update for an EMS package, which is supposed to be express international shipping. Can someone let me know if the package has left China. I would assume that sometime during the two weeks the package would have been scanned at some point, thus creating a more recent update.

EA405459973CN is delayed in Guangzhou. please wait one or two more weeks. it should arrive then.

Is it normal for a package to be delayed for two weeks? What is the reason for the delay?

two weeks delay is not that common, but still happens occasionally. Guangzhou airport has some airline shortage these days. this might be the reason.

Any idea when I can expect this to move out of Guangzhou? It has now been three weeks.
