Package indicates it has been held in customs since December 19th. My daughter called them and they needed receipts for items enclosed. She sent them. We are still awaiting word on delivery. Is there anything else we need/should do?

1. She could possibly call China Post EMS Hot Line: 11183, to find out if everything is OK. I don't know but somebody here said that they speak only in Mandarin and not English.

China Post EMS: Could you please check the status on this package? My daughter feels it will be sent back to me after holding it for 30 days. I don't understand why.

2. The parcel is held by Customs in GUANGZHOU.

3. Either somebody call local China Post EMS number: 11183 or go at any China Post Office and have the clerk explain why is the parcel still at Customs Office.

Thank you for all of your assistance thus far. It appears that the package contents, containing Christmas presents for my daughter and her boyfriend, were too much to be sent. The cost of the gifts in the package is $277USD. We did send the receipts for what is in the package. Would they have to pay tax on that prior to receiving it or will they send it back to me? I sincerely appreciate all the help I've received. I was so sad when they didn't receive their gifts in time. But better late than never.

1. The questions your asking should be directed to China Post, since the parcel is at the Customs office. They need to contact China Post as soon as possible. They must have a friend there that they can help them if they go to any China Post Office to get information about the parcel.

2. If the parcel is not claim it might go back to USA, it all depends of the Customs Officer at the China Post Office.
