2. I'm pretty sure your parcel is not lost. It's probably USPS in JFK that did not scan your parcel yet. Or maybe they miss the scan on arrival of the parcel. Because according to the tracking nothing is wrong.

3. If by 21 Dec you can not track your parcel as arriving in USA or have not receive it, then open a dispute.

4. I guess I don't have to tell you that it's very busy right now every where for the Postal Office.

Hello, I have a similar issue but it involves applying for return to seller (办理退运) from customs.

1 - Parcel was dispatched from UK, arrived at SH customs.
2 - Required tax payment. I signed up to http://yjsb.cnpex.com.cn/ and sent declaration.
3 - Received tax fee request - instead of paying tax, I applied for return to UK.
4 - Status is now "物品已出库(派件中)". I have no other update for some time.
Package tracker from UK > China is RU632726966GB

Is there anything I can do to get an idea of what is happening to it? Or is it just slow from backlog problem?

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows the parcel was rejected by receiver. The parcel now is on the way returning to shipper. You need wait about 2 to 10 weeks to get the return.

LN406338225CN is delayed in Guangzhou. not sure the reason. If you can not get it by end of April, open dispute to seller for lost parcel refund.
