I am waiting for an item to arrive that was ordered on March 1, 2018.
It was shipped on March 5th but I have had no more updates since.

I have received other parcels through this method and they always say "departed country of origin" or "planned flight number xxx" (as I have shown above) before they leave China. This is usually the last update I get because once it gets to Canada there is no tracking. But for this package, the last thing posted was "shipment accepted by airline". Which leads me to believe it hasn't left China yet and is maybe lost?

Should I be worried?

UC196057568CN is china post ordinary parcel. you can track its shipment effect date and original post office in http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php .

This is a slow and cheap service for low value item. China Post will not scan and update its status after it left first post office. so you can not see new status and know where it is now. china post ordinary parcel might take 4 to 12 weeks to reach your country.
