My tracking number is LS031512424CN, can someone tell me why the package was not delivered properly? The tracking says "Attempted Delivery" but I guess it did not get accepted/dropped off.

http://track-chinapost.com/startusa.php shows the parcel is in USPS sorting facility. You should contact USPS asap, otherwise it will be returned to China.

Can I find out the reason it did not get dropped off?

you should ask your local USPS. They are responsible for delivery.
