I have posted a parcel from a local post office in Shanghai to Hong Kong over one month ago, but I have not received it even though it was supposed to arrive within 10 days. I did not receive any tracking code and on the 'sender's receipt' that I got from the local post office I cannot find a tracking code either. Does anyone know if I can track my order or how I can find out whether it was lost? In the case it was lost I would need a proof of that for my insurance..

Please help me!

without tracking number, you can not get any information about your parcel status. Even it is lost, you can not get compensation.
