My parcel AG024926068CN was posted on 3rd December, estimated delivery date was 6th January. Looking at the tracking it seems to have left China on 22nd December but no tracking at all for over 3 weeks. How long should this parcel take please?

1. A lot of people from UK are complaining about not receiving their parcels. Would there be a problem in China or at LANGLEY HWDC Royal Mail.

2. May I suggest you contact seller and tell him you have not receive your parcel. In worst case scenario you might have to open a dispute.

Thanks.

I am not even sure if it has left China. Can you please confirm what 'Guangzhou, left Guangzhou to the aviation hub, London Heathrow Airport (transfer)' means. Could it still be in Guangzhou?

1. Aviation HUB means this:
Airline hubs or hub airports are used by one or more airliners to concentrate passenger traffic and flight operations at a given airport. They serve as transfer (or stop-over) points to get passengers to their final destination. It is part of the hub-and-spoke system.

2. You are not saying if you did or did not contact your seller about your parcel.

3. Nether you or me knows for sure if the parcel departed from China because there is no flight number attach to the parcel. The only thing we know is that the parcel is On Route/In transit to your country UK and that was done on the 22 Dec. 2016.

4. If you feel deep inside you that the parcel is lost or misplace, then just open a dispute for non reception of your parcel.

Thanks.

I have contacted the sender of my parcel but they only have the same information I have. It seems that the parcel is stuck due a backlog caused by increased volumes over the Christmas period. Is anything being done to reduce this backlog?

1. Did you ever call Royal Mail and ask them if there was a problem at the LANGLEY HWDC!!!!

2. I'm sure China Post is doing all in his power to make sure that all mail bags get on board any Aircraft when available.

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your advice. I contacted Royal Mail, they said:

'We get a lot of queries about HWDC Langley and we can not give you anymore tracking information than what you already have.
If there is a delay it may be that your item is stuck in customs which seems to be the norm, there could be a CUSTOMS CHARGE or there could be generally too much work for the system to cope with.
And please note, most international items do not get tracked anymore in our system after arriving at Langley until they are delivered.'

I can see it was cleared through customs in China on the 3rd December, but beyond that I am not certain. Apologies if you have already explained this but does the following mean the item has left China or just that it is in the process of leaving China?
2016-12-22 11:01 Guangzhou, left Guangzhou to the aviation hub, London Heathrow Airport (transfer)

1. On the 22 Dec, your parcel is On Route/In Transit to UK. Because there is no flight attach to the parcel we can not know when the parcel departed.

2. Before your parcel goes to UK Customs it has to be scan by Royal Mail, this is when you are going to see Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre (HWDC Langley). After the parcel is scan, then the parcel goes to UK Customs Office for clearance. Then given back to Royal Mail for delivery.

3. Most if not all National Post Office in the world work that way, the National Post Office is responsible for the parcel as soon as it arrive in any country. It goes in a big inbound warehouse (Customs control area), when Customs are ready to receive more parcels, then the National Post Office scan the parcel and give them to Customs for clearance.

Thanks.
