Post Can only track number on specific site?

I received this tracking number from the seller: EA227857818CN
I can track it on this page http://www.ems.com.cn/english.html but everywhere else I get told that the number is invalid? So is the link a legit site or is this some kind of fraud?

the number is invalid because your seller has not shipped the goods. If you just got the number, wait one week and track again.

Why can I track it via the link I provided though? According to that one it has already passed several stops on its way.
