My package was marked "shipped" and I was issued this tracking number 15 days ago. No tracking information shows no matter what website I try. I have contacted the seller multiple times and keep being told that the tracking number will update within 3-5 days. Should I seek a refund or give it more time?

I've already opened a dispute, the seller still claims that the tracking number will update soon. DHGate says that my dispute isn't eligible for mediation until August 23rd. Is it at all possible that the package was submitted for shipping but just hasn't been updated?

If your seller really shipped the goods, tracking result will show up in 3 days. As you can not track the parcel so far, it means your seller has not shipped anything until 3 days ago. Not sure if he has just shipped the goods in recent 3 days. I suggest you wait by Aug 23, if you still can not track anything, then you open dispute.
