http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows the parcel was just shipped on July 18. You can not know it is by air or by surface parcel at this moment.

normally the parcel is shipped by surface parcel. Surface parcel often show transit through Japan and Hong Kong in tracking result and airmail often shows departure airport. However, no showing Japan/hong kong transit does not necessarily mean it is airmail and not showing departure airport does not necessarily mean surface mail.

Actually, there is no certain way to verify if a parcel goes through airmail or surface mail. Normally if a CP*****CN parcel does not arrive over 6 weeks , you should consider it is shipped by surface parcel and you can open dispute for refund.
