Hi my parcel LM313070799CN has not updated since 27th of November and still says held at outward office of Exchange, Is this still in China or has it left yet as I’m beginning to think it’s lost :(

http://track-chinapost.com/result_eub.php?code=LM313070799CN shows the parcel was shipped From China Post Guangzhou office to UK on Nov 26.

It is now some middle location between China Post system and ROYAL MAIL system(possibly airline warehouse in Guangzhou ,China or customs warehouse in UK). You can not know exact situation when parcel is in such middle locations.

Such no-information stage might last 7 to 20 days(rush season can take 30 to 40 days) until ROYAL MAIL gets the parcel from customs. Then ROYAL MAIL website will show its new status with UK location.

Everything looks normal. Please wait some more days.

It was only posted on 26th of November so couldn’t of been shipped on 15th of November, Are you checking the right tracking number ? Also I have never had a parcel that says held at outward office of Exchange, What does this mean ? Thanks

sorry,my mistake. It is nov 26, not nov 15. the parcel status will still shows in Export Customs before your local Royal Mail post office scan and update its status.

You no need care too much about its current location. Even if it arrives UK, customs clearance ,sorting and processing time still needs about 10 to 20 days(which occupies most of the time of the journey).

So does outward office of Exchange mean export customs ? As it says it’s being held at outward office of Exchange ? Does that mean its being held by customs or is it normal to say item held at outward office of Exchange? ?

you no need care what is the meaning of outward office of Exchange. You just need to know that you need wait another 10 to 20 business days to get the parcel after "outward office of Exchange" date and there will be no update during outward office of Exchange period.

Also should it not say departure from outward office of Exchange rather than held ?

Again, you no need care too much about held or departure. their difference is little and hard to explain to you. you just need to know you need wait 10 to 20 days.
