Post Is this tracking number valid?

I have received two tracking numbers from an aliexpress seller but they both seem to be suspicious. I tracked them and they look like they are for a package that was delivered in February 2016. Here are both of the tracking numbers given to me LS548587310CN and LS526816982CN.

Tracking numbers can actually be reused after two years, so although it sounds strange, this is normal.

The other thing is that there are separate tracking forms for Registered Mail/Airmail and ePacket/EMS. Since these are ePackets, you need to use this form to track them:

http://track-chinapost.com/startems.php

The Airmail form will show these parcels from Feb 2016, which obviously aren't yours.

Now, for LS548587310CN and LS526816982CN -- your seller hasn't sent you anything yet. Ask them when they are going to send it. If they keep delaying, open a dispute.

The LS526816982CN number was the first one they gave me when I first placed my order and it never updated for 8 days and I tracked it using the China Post tracking which showed a delivery in February 2016. Then I was given this new tracking number LS548587310CN and again it was another number from February 2016. I know you said that this was an EMS package but I have not recieved an update on either numbers. This makes me very suspicious that the numbers are fake and the seller never sent the item out. I have messaged the seller asking for information on the tracking numbers and I will open a dispute as soon as possible. If none of these options work I will be getting my bank involved.

Yeah, no, you shouldn't have to put up with that kind of garbage. Hoping the dispute resolves in your favour quickly.
