China Post announced a new policy since November 2014 that parcels with magnetic items, including headphone, radio, scanner ... will cause safety problem to airline and therefore not allowed to be shipped by airmail.

This new policy has caused thousands of rejected parcels which have headphone, earphone,mp3, radio, scanner etc.

If you have purchased above mentioned item and has not received the goods after 40 days, you need to open dispute and claim refund asap. check here : http://track-chinapost.com/?p=435

Appendix: China Post Forbidden Item List

  • Battery item such as Mobile Phone, Walkie Talkie,Laptop, tablet,iPad etc.
  • Magnetic item such as Headphone, earphone, speaker, amplifier, MP3, scanner etc.
  • Dangerous arms such as gun, pistol, bullet, knife, gun powder etc
  • Any liquid item

Hello Admin,
Does that new policy applies to items such as very little tubes that contain acrylic paints t attached to the canvas to perform paint by number kits?

This rule is applied by safety officer's personal judgement. In other words, it depends on your luck. if your parcel is scanned by tough guy, it might be rejected, otherwise it will pass.

yes. it might affect. But it depends on which officer scan your parcel, if he is not a tough guy, your parcel might pass the scan.

Ok then, tell me what you wi ll make of this. I have external hard drives coming and it has been showing "sent to airline" since the 18th of dec., 2014. However, it went through/passed export customs security scan on 17th dec 2014. But till now has not yet arrived. Can you discuse this pls

Don't mind the scans, the information is not always accurate. It most likely means that it's on the way. Track on your home country's post from now until arrival.
