Tracking number seller submitted is in this format - CP.....CN. In the past all the products that I ordered which was sent via China Post Air Mail the tracking started with one of these - RS/RL/RF/RG and ended with CN and they all arrived within 2 weeks since my country is in Asia and I could track them from the 2nd day of shipment and I have ordered about 25 items that were sent via China Post Air Mail so far. But I ordered 3 different products from the same seller on the same day. Instead of shipping them separately the seller shipped them together and submitted a tracking number starting with CP. After looking into it I found on different forums that some people are claiming that CP is for China Post Surface Mail not China Post Air Mail and it takes significantly longer to get delivered than air mail. Is this information correct that the CP is for surface mail and not air mail ? I messaged the seller and he claims CP is due to the items weighting over 2KG even though from his own product page the net weight is less than 1.8KG which obviously can be wrong but I am still paranoid since there is no tracking information even though it has been a week. All my previous tracking numbers of China Post Air Mail updated within 2 days and since my country is in Asia it usually takes 8-14 days for the packages to get delivered, some even come faster. In fact the same day 2 of my other items purchased from different sellers were shipped at the same time also via China Post and they had RS and RL in the beginning and they have been updating tracking from the 2nd day of the shipping and they are already showing 'Dispatched to oversees' status at the time after a week wheres there is still no tracking information associated with the CP tracking number. Now I am paranoid that the seller shipped the items via China Post Surface mail which takes the longest to get delivered instead of the advertised Air Mail. I don't know if I should trust the seller or not and I have another order with the same seller waiting to be paid but I am feeling insecure about completing the payment.

CP parcel if less than 2 kg, it might be shipped by air. I suggest you wait about 4 weeks, if you can not get the goods, open dispute for refund.

Does Surface Mail tracking updates slower than Air Mail ? is there any way to tell if the item was sent via Air Mail or Surface Mail ?
