http://track-chinapost.com/result_china.php?order_no=LT259607431CN shows the parcel was shipped From China Post shenzhen office to US on Jan 26.

It is now some middle location between China Post system and USPS system(possibly airline warehouse in shenzhen ,China or customs warehouse in SFO,US). You can not know exact situation when parcel is in such middle locations.

Such no-information stage might last 7 to 20 days(rush season can take 30 to 40 days) until USPS gets the parcel from customs. Then USPS website will show its new status with US location.

It's now been 40 days. Should I still be waiting? Or is it time for me to make a claim with AliExpress?

ask aliexpress seller extend protection. If seller confirm extend protection, keepwaiting. otherwise open dispute.
