Post How to claim refund for lost parcel

October to Decementer is the rush season of China Post. Many parcels will have serious delay during these time. And even worse, quite a few of parcels are returned or even lost WITHOUT changing the status of China Post tracking system.

I have seen many buyers have asked following questions:

1)this website said the parcel has been returned to shipper, but seller does not confess that he/she have received the return and refuse to refund me money, how can I get my money back?

2)The website show the parcel was returned to shipper, or even shows "failed delivery". How can I get refund from China Post?

3)The tracking status has not changed over 40 days,I still do not get the item, can I contact seller or China Post for refund?

Actually the answers for above questions are same:

Contact your payment authority(ebay, aliexpress, paypal or credit card company) and file a non-receipt dispute asap.

Once you have filed the dispute, then it becomes seller's duty to prove that the parcel has been successfully delivered to buyer. If he/she can not give such proof in specific time period, the money will be automatically refunded to buyer.

How to file such non-receipt dispute?
In ebay, paypal or aliexpress, there is a link or web page called "resolution center" or "dispute center". You can file non-receipt there.

Is there any deadline to file non-receipt dispute?

YES. For ebay, paypal , you need to file the dispute within 45 days of your payment. For aliexpress, it is 60 days.

What if I passed the dispute deadline and still want to get refund?

if you have passed deadline to file dispute, then the only way is to contact seller. Normally big sellers who have high positive feedback rate will give you good solution in exchange of good feedback from you. This will help their shop to get better selling performance.

What if I buy from some website which does not have "dispute center" and I did not make payment by paypal or alipay?
Unfortunately, this makes you very difficult to get your money back. So we suggest buyer to buy from China sellers in big marketplace such as ebay, aliexpress, amazon etc which have good customer protection system. If you buy from independent shopping website, then please select paypal as payment method. NEVER use wire transfer or money order or western union,or bit-coin to make payment especially from unfamiliar sellers.

Hope above information is useful to all oversea buyers. Enjoy your shopping from China and don't forget to follow above rules to protect yourself.

if http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows "0 items" for your item number, that means the parcel has not been sent to China Post, it should be a fake number.

In my experience, this message is usually given when the tracking number has just been issued by the seller. In most cases, it simply means that the tracking number has not been recognised or updated in the tracking system. If the transaction is legitimate, the tracking number starts to work after a couple of days.
However, I got this message that I am not familiar with. This tracking number was given to me almost two weeks after my purchase, after I had repeatedly asked the seller if they had posted my order and even threatened to cancel it.
Here are the message and number, the message is printed in red with an exclamation!!

Parcel No.RC410465061CN has not been received by China Post!

I would like to know the significance of this, I have used China Post numerous times and have never come across this message.

Hello, i really need some help, my parcel never got delivered, through mistakes of Australia post Narellan, NSW it states on the tracking that it has been received. I since have a letter stating that is not correct. The parcel was never received.

I have contacted Aliexpress who agree a refund should be paid and the supplier from Ali Express has to do a claim, the supplier is refusing to do so (not sure why as their payment has been frozen). Can i claim myself?

I can provide letters and correspondense from Australia post to state the parcel was not received, and confirming that it was an error when processing another parcel.

The order was $551USD that i would like to claim, Aliexpress has frozen the suppliers payment as they agree a refund should be made.

Please help!
Thanks

if Australia Post said it was delivered, it should be delivered. if you have not got the parcel, you should contact Australian Post and find out who signed the parcel.
