Post Just want to know where my package is.

I want to know where my package is, and approximately when it will arrive in Australia. My tracking number is RF573499957CN. I think it has left China however I am not sure.

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows the parcel was just shipped. you need wait 2 to 4 weeks to get the parcel.

Why would it take 2 weeks when it has left China?

Leaving China is just the first step of the whole journey. Parcel will transit through many countries and many airports before arriving destination. Customs clearance and sorting in different transit countries also takes lots of time.

No. After parcel left china, status will not update.
