Post Invalid Tracking number

Hi,

I was given a tracking number: RJ496429470CN on the 19th

Been checking a few times now, but all it says on the site is that the number is invalid and China Post has not received it. Tried tracking my package on several other sites and they say the same thing.

What should I do?

your seller did not ship the goods yet. ask seller what is his real shipping date or wait one more week and track again.

Seller insists he's shipped it. Plus Australia Post tracking identifies it as a package to Australia. Should I still be worried?

How do you know Australia Post confirm it is a package to Australia?

Australia Post tracking detected it as an international service inbound. Staff from their hotline confirms this; only thing is that they can't confirm if it's going to my address or not

I tracked RJ496429470CN in Australian Post website, it only shows "international" which means the parcel is not Australian Post parcel. It does not mean the number is true or fake.

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows the parcel is invalid. Your seller did not ship the goods.

An AusPost employee told me that it is indeed coming inbound to Australia although they can't say if its mine or not; but you may be right. I'll give him a couple more days until the 10 day mark. By then he will have nothing to hide behind!

I believe that AusPost employee gave you wrong info. He only see that parcel # ending with CN and tell you it is inbound to Australia. He did not even know how to verify if a China Post tracking number is true or fake.

if you want to learn how to verify a china post tracking number, read this http://track-chinapost.com/?p=461
