Bought an item in AliExpress, seller gave me this tracking #:

RS782310907CN

Tracking the number shows "Electronic Data Received" only, it has been 10 days with this status.

I've asked the seller about it and he said he already shipped the package around Aug 10 or 11. He asked me to wait since there might be a lot of parcels in the post office to process the package.

Should I be concerned? since the tracking # does not seem to have any updates for 10 days now?

It's been 30 days for the above tracking number RS782310907CN, and it still only shows "Electronic data received".

When I message this seller, this is his reply:

"i have asked the post office, he tell me the website have some problem at this time, so pls don't worry, i have asked it for u, the post worker tell me your parcel in transit, pls trust me, it at right way. generally speaking, the shipping time will need 5-7 weeks to your country due to strict inspection custom. i can guarantee u will receive it"

Should I consider this as fraud now that 30 days has passed, and nothing updated with the tracking number? (so far, with my previous experience with China Post Registered and Ordinary package, they were all ready for pick-up in our local post office in around 30 days after actual shipment)

Around 25 days now, and also "Electronic Data Received".... When I follow up with the seller, this is how he responds:

"sometimes the tracking number is invalid, if we send your item out by China Post Registered Air Mail, and post office do not provide tracking number. because we normally send the item with tracking number to your country if the total amount is over $30. so please kindly understanding. but Please trust me that we are serious dealer in this field for many years, we really send the parcel to you,and i am sure you will receive it, but need some time. we also hate the slow shipping. you know the shipping is out of our control. the post office always do not upload the information on time. but the parcel is on the way, please do not worry."

It's a very funny reply because in the above, he says "sometimes the tracking number is invalid", why would the seller give an invalid tracking number in the first place? Also, it's true that my order did not reach $30, it was only around $15, but it was noted that the package is to be sent via either Registered or Ordinary parcel, and the original tracking number is that of Registered parcel.

I suppose it's time to open disputes for these 2 orders? What do you think?

Is this a valid tracking tracking? How do I trace it?

RS782310907CN is still a fake number which has nothing rather than "electronics data received". If you have open dispute to aliexpress, you should keep the dispute and do not close it. If possible , escalate the dispute and push aliexpress to speed up refund. At the same time, push seller accept dispute asap, otherwise you can leave negative feedback against such cheater.

I'll just give an update on my tracking number RS782310907CN above:

I received a notice from the post office a few days ago (note: our post office does not deliver parcels, they only send a notice about parcels for pickup at the indicated post office) about a parcel for pickup -- the notice does not indicate any tracking number (note: if it was a registered mail, the tracking # would be indicated on the notice).

Anyway, I went to the post office to claim the parcel, it turns out to be the parcel for RS782310907CN -- it was sent via China Post Ordinary mail (11-digit numbers only). So the seller was sort of lying when they gave me the registered tracking number, but actually sent it via untracked "ordinary" parcel. I looked at the image reference (attached in above prevous message), and it is the same number (ordinary untracked parcel).

for my other tracking # RS793405702CN (also just "electronic data received"), maybe this other seller also sent it via untracked/ordinary parcel; I'll try to update maybe next week and if I receive no notice from post office, then will have to raise dispute with this other seller too.
