The package was shipped through China Post from a seller (FastTech) on Jan 21st.
But there's no tracking details present on the tracking number (RK553684212CN) even now after more than 16 days. There's no way for me to know if the package has crossed over to India or if it's lost so I can claim a refund.

The seller has sent me pictures of the package and confirmed that the package was shipped from their warehouse on Jan 21st.

I checked with my local post office tracking if the package arrived in India, but it too says the same stuff. "Consignment details not found."

Could someone from China Post inquire and let me know where the package is or at least update the tracking info?

Not a scam. The tracking info has been updated and the package appears to be in transit.

You guys shouldn't be giving definitive wrong answers to people who come here to seek a little peace of mind about their parcels.

If you are unsure of the reason, just say so or rather be quiet. That would be much better. Do not provide wrong info which would cause problems to the guests here.
