I purchased a product on ebay and it was shipped through china post small packet plus on 24th October to India. The product description shows that the product is around 2.5 kg, and i have read that the china post ordinary small packet plus can have only weight under 2 kg. ( I came to know that it was chin post small packet plus beacuse he gave me a tracking number for it).
So i need to know if the wight is permissable or the seller is trying to scam me.(I still haven't received the parcel).

you'd better post tracking number, otherwise we can not verify shipment info for you.

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows the parcel was shipped on Oct 25.

this kind of 11 digit number is china post ordinary parcel. This is a slow and cheap service for low value item. China Post will not scan and update its status after it left first post office. so you can not see new status and know where it is now. china post ordinary parcel might take 4 to 12 weeks to reach your country.

well i know about the tracking, my query was related to post itself rather than tracking.
i was asking what was the permissible weight of the china post ordinary parcel

if china post ordinary parcel is over 2 kgs, it might be shipped through sea which is very very slow( half year to arrive). However, your seller might remove some inside packing material and make it less than 2kg. Then it can go through air. I suggest you wait about 40 to 50 days. If you can not get it by mid of Dec, you should open dispute for refund.
